What I wouldn't give to run into her just one more time...

ACROSS THE BOARD, BABY!!!!!!
Now I can RELAX for the next 4 weeks and then start "freakout mode" all over again when my second semester of nursing school starts.
For the record, I had a solid A before taking my final exam. It counted twice, and I knew I needed an 86 to make a solid A with no worries. I felt the final exam was somewhat easy, and given that I'd not made a single test grade under 90 all this semester, I felt I'd secured that A with no problems.
Imagine my HORROR when I pulled up my grades and saw an 85 as the grade for my final.
I immediately scrolled down to see that my overall average for the semester was 92.5 (with 93 being an A).
I began to sweat. I called one of my instructors and got her voicemail. Within the hour, I tried again.
I didn't know what they did in this case or if they rounded up.
TO MY SURPRISE (and relief), they do... and they did. They also made some last minute adjustments to the grades overall. It bumped up my average 0.25 points, which further secured that A.
However, I slid in by the seat of my pants!!!!!
Soooooo close. I still don't understand how I made an 85 on that final, and I really beat myself up about it. (I even cried.) I'm really, really, REALLY hard on myself about my grades, and missing 15 out of 100 didn't settle right with me, especially since I was SO CLOSE to losing the A that I worked really hard to earn. I WILL admit to not studying for hours upon hours for the final, though, because I truly and honestly felt like I *KNEW* the material. I'd done so well all semester and "got it," and therefore felt like I didn't need to kill myself there in the final days.
Lesson learned.
Either way, an A is an A. I got that baby, I'm claimin' it, and I'm PROUD of myself!
So there you go, mean Walmart lady. There's your first semester of nursing school! *grins*
Great job!!! Nursing school is NO JOKE! I remember those exhausting days of class and clinical. To make straight A's with two young kids is tough...you have every right to be incredibly proud of yourself!
