And so it begins... AGAIN.

Yesterday was my first day back to school, and I'm SO ready for it again! I'm taking such a light load this semester that I know I can truly soak it all in. And both the lecture and the lab will really teach me so so much. A&P II is all about the systems and the processes of the body. The lab, per the instructor, is mostly about one thing - dissection.

I know, I know. I'm NONE too excited about having to chop up animals or their parts, let alone a CAT. All I'll be able to think during this process is that poor little baby on the table and the 3 I have at home. I know there are tons of cats euthanized on a daily basis, and I know that is where these animals are coming from... it's just all around sad for me. It'll be a struggle, I know.

I just hope I look at it as a learning process and pray it teaches me a LOT given the sacrifice. I know I'm thankful for the animals that have made this sacrifice for people like me to learn, but I really truly wish there was an alternative. Heck, I'd rather cut on a cadaver, as sick as that sounds. At least when you look at a human body, you'll know what to expect in a hospital setting.

Our teacher suggested we go to the dollar store and pick up some goggles. I had some already, but dressed 'em up a bit... (Given I'll feel crappy about the situation, I might as well make light of the goggles...)

I took my Nursing application down to the main campus a couple of weeks ago. I was also put on the schedule for the TEAS exam (entrance exam). I'm all in a knot over the fact that I have to take it in LESS THAN A WEEK. I just don't feel ready, but I'll give it all I've got, and that's all I can do.

I'm really excited that I'll know in a matter of a few months if I got accepted... and if I am, well, then the ball will surely get rolling on my future. *takes a deep breath*
